Beef Tacos

Serves: 4-6


  • 1 Cocina Mexicana Mild Taco Spice Mix sachet

  • 1 finely chopped small red onion

  • 500 g lean beef mince

  • 1 grated medium carrot

  • 400 g can tomatoes

  • Little gem lettuce shredded

  • 1 punnet cherry tomatoes

  • 1 finely chopped cucumber

  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh coriander

  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

  • Sour cream

  • Chopped avocado

  • Jalapenos


  1. Heat a little oil in a pan and cook onion until soft. Add mince and cook stirring with a wooden spoon to break up mince, for 5 minutes or until browned. Add Taco Seasoning, carrot and tomatoes, simmer for 2 minutes or until sauce thickens. You may need to add a little water if sauce is too thick

  2. Heat Tortilla in pan

  3. Combine cherry tomatoes, cucumber, avocado and coriander in a small bowl. Fill Tortilla with cooked mince, lettuce and cherry tomato mixture. Drizzle with Taco sauce and top with cheese, sour cream and jalapenos.

**For a tasty alternative to sour cream try combining Kewpie Mayonnaise and Paprika to make your own special topping
